About Kamas Theater
• Located only 42 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City and about 15 minutes East of Park City and Heber City, at the intersection of Main Street and Silver Lake Highway—where every camper, tourist, shopper, and sportsman passes.
• The Kamas Theater has entertained the residents of South Summit County for 70 years. Built in the 1940’s, the 192-seat venue has shown everything from “Singing in the Rain” to “Star Wars” on its 24 x 11-foot screen.
• The Sundance Film Festival has regularly utilized this theater as one of their venues. It wasn’t used this year because the theater doesn’t have a digital projector which the festival now requires.
• The Theater is famous for its great tasting pretzels and its low prices on concessions. The candy is $1 or less and the popcorn prices range from $1 to $3.50. Families can afford to go to the theater again.
